Food and water borne diseases increase in frequency among all age groups  especially in children  with onset of summer.Common among them are gastroenteritis,typhoid,jaundice and others.Most of them are self limiting illnesses which doesn't require hospitalisation but rarely they can be fatal .DR SUDEEP KHANNA (SENIOR CONSULTANT) GASTROENTERLOGY ,PSRI SHEIKH SARAI ,NEW DELHI , says " simple measures like avoiding raw food , unbottled water ,eating out from vendors,juices and cut fruits can reduce the chances of infections drastically ".
